Jerry Holcomb and Sally Edwards, from San Diego, California, stopped in the Frederick Visitor Center on Monday, December 3, 2012 to kickoff their full week of Civil War exploration.  While in the area, they plan to explore Downtown Frederick, Monocacy National Battlefield, Gettysburg, Harpers Ferry, and Antietam National Battlefield

Jerry’s brother, who lives in Oklahoma, knew about Frederick and encouraged them to stay here as the perfect "base camp" for their Civil War vacation.  Jerry and Sally said they always stop at the local visitor center on their travels, and complimented Frederick Visitor Center host Dave Pearson for providing a great orientation to the area’s Civil War visitor opportunities.

Take a cue from Jerry and Sally, and discover more opportunities to explore the area's rich Civil War history.
